Satoshi, Takeshi, Kasumi and Pikachu walked up to the stone gates of Pewter City. After the showdown with Mewtwo, they felt as if they had been through everything. Satoshi, Kasumi, and Pikachu rested on a rock, half expecting Takeshi's father to appear, telling the travelers that thye owed 200 yen for sitting on his mercendise. Takeshi looked around thoughtfully and turned to his friends.

"Guys, I'm going to go check up on my father.....", Satoshi smiled and nodded. After all the time that his father had been away, Satoshi could understand Takeshi's wanting to see his father again.

"Hey, That's cool!", Satoshi said cheerfully and looked over at his tired Pikachu.

"Chaaaaaaa...", The little yellow mouse sighed.

"We'll be at the Pokemon Center..."

"and at the musuem!! I hear that a Pokemon archeologist donated a few relics there!!", Kasumi butted in.

Meanwhile in a tree nearby, two people and a Pokemon watched them. Their binoculars glinted in the bright noon light.

"Prepare for trouble...", The red headed female announced in a whisper. They were Rocket Gang opperatives Musashi, Kojiro, and Nyasu, and as always, they were up to no good.

"Make it double!!" Kojiro said, following his cue. Nyasu promptly slashed them both.

"Will you two shut up?! We have to get those relics!! Sakaki's giving us one last chance!!" Musashi was so angry hat veins appeared on her forehead.

"How dare you ruin my flawless face?!", She screamed, in SD form. Kojiro's stomach began to rummble as he felt the intensity of his hunger.

"Musashi, I haven't had a bit to eat since breakfast and I'm starving!!", He cried, tears streaming down his face on onto his white Rocket Gang fuku.

"Quit your whining!!!" Both Musashi and Nyasu yelled. Everyone fell silent when they heard a crack nearby. Seconds later they founds themselves sprawled out on the ground. Musashi caught a glimise of Satoshi, Kasumi, Takeshi, and Pikachu as they headed in their own directions.

"Great...Just what we need...", she groaned.

"Outta the way!!", a voice shouted as the source stepped all over the Rocket Gang.

"Ouch...." Kojiro muttered as Shigeru ran over them.

"This day can't possibly get any worse...", Nyasu said as he voiced the thoughts of his human companions.

Satoshi walked out of the Pokemon center with his Pokeballs that carried Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charazard, and Pidgeotto. Pikachu sat promently on Satoshi's head.

"Chuuuu!!!," Pikachu called out to Kasumi, who was more than ready to head to the Pewter City musuem. Kasumi closed her eyes happily.

"Are you guys ready?"

"Yeah!! Let's go!!", Satoshi said, in his usually energetic way. They entered the musuem where the head curator, Professor Brody greeted them cheerfully. Brody-sensei was about five feet, 3 inches. He had some fat on him, but not enough to put him in the "obese" catagory. Wrinkles were visible around his eyes and mouth to show that this man liked to smile and laugh as much as a child does. His gray hair was beginning to show sighs of male pattern baldness. He looked up from talking to someone and walked over to the group.

"Welcome to the musuem! I am Professor Brody of Celadon Univeristy." Satoshi, Kasumi, and Pikachu introduced themselves. Brody thought for a while.

"Satoshi...Satoshi...where have I heard that name before?" There was a moment of silence before he remembered.

"Ah! So you're the Pokemon trainer that Okido-Sensei was telling me about!" Satoshi blushed, trying to be as humble as he could.

"Well..I...."

"The one that came in late!!" Satoshi fell onto the floor, and groaned.

"Well..The lines to see the other relics are packed right now..." Brody observed. "but I'll tell you what...Mr. Mizukami just brought in an ancient book from Saffron. It's in the musuem's library if you wish to see it." Brody winked at Satoshi and handed him a key.

"Wow!! Thanks, Professor Brody!! Satoshi bowed, and started up the stairs. He could hardly contain himself. He was half way to the library when he watched a fire bird fly up the stairs, leaving a trail of sparkling red light behind it. Pikachu hung on for dear life as Satoshi began to follow it, not even giving Dexter, his Pokedex, a chance to anaylise the avian creature. He was so caught up in the chase that he didn't notice the key falling out of his jacket pocket.

"Satoshi, where are...", Kasumi leaned up against the wall, and panted. Somehow she had lost that kid. Satoshi and Pikachu reached the library, and found the door open as the bird disappeared. They looked around the interior in awe, gawlking at the huge collection of artifacts, and rows that seemed to go on...

"Hey! Watch where you're going!!" Someone snapped, as Satoshi felt himself bump into...

"Shigeru?!" Satoshi said in disbelief. Somehow Shigeru always seemed to have the upper hand on Satoshi. The door closed shut behind them. Satoshi looked frantically for the key that Brody-Sensei gave him.

"Oh.....I must have dropped the key while following that fire bird..." Shigeru slapped Satoshi upside the head.

"Great...I'm stuck here with a fourth rate Pokemon trainer, and I didn't get that Gyarados that came in here!!" Shigeru snarled. A brown mouse Pokemon walked up to Shigeru.

"Raichu...", The Pokemon said to his trainer. Pikachu's ears perked up.

"Pii!!" Pikachu lept down from Satoshi's head and pointed at Shigeru's Raichu...and then at himself.

"Pika!! Pika!! Pi Pikachu!!!" He said, challenging his evolved form. Both Shigeru and Raichu sneered.

"How cute...An unevolved Pokemon for an unevolved trainer..." Shigeru wagged his finger at Satoshi, wth Raichu copying Shigeru's motions. Satoshi and Pikachu clunched their fists.

"Take that back!!" Satoshi shouted angryly.

"Pika!!", Pikachu nodded in agreement. This only made Shigeru laugh.

"Looks like you got gramps's lame Pokemon! That little electric rat's as lame as you are, Satoshi!!" Shigeru's taunt struck to the very core of Satoshi's soul. Ever since they were babies, Shigeru was always first for everything. Always getting everything handed to him on a silver platter...

It just wasn't fair that Satoshi had been working extra hard to earn his badges, and still not getting the reconintion that Shigeru constantly recieved.

"Grrrrrr...I'll show YOU who's the lame one!!", Satoshi shouted as he tackled Shigeru. Pikachu followed suit and tackled Raichu.

Kasumi stopped to take another breath as she spotted the key that Satoshi dropped.

"That stupid kid!" She picked the key up, and held it up in the air.

"Watch out, Satoshi, because when I see you the next time, I'm gonna give you a piece of my mind!!" She vowed, getting her second wind.

"And you still haven't gotten me my bike!!!"

Shigeru and Satoshi grappled on the floor, neither one gaining an advantage. In the wake of their fight, books and other antiguities started to fall from the selves. A special leather bound book dropped from the selves and opened up. A bright red light appeared form the pages: The same light that lead Satoshi to the place. Both groups forgot all about the fight, and crowded around the book. Shigeru and Satoshi were so mesmerized that they didn;t mind sharing the book. Neither did Pikachu or Raichu as they watched from their trainers' shoulders. Shigeru moved his fingers along the Chinese characters slowly, reading out loud as he did.

"This is a story of a boy that trained Suzaku and gained omnipotent powers. The book itself is an incantation. Whoever finishes reading it will also recieve these powers. When the page is turned, the story will become truth and begin."

There was an erie silence that was broken by a sinister, unhuman voice.

"Splendid. Thank you for finding the Universe of the Four Gods for me." Satoshi and Shigeru looked up. Satoshi reached for a Pokeball, half expecting the Rocket Gang motto to follow. A figure stepped out of the shadows. Satoshi narrowed his eyes as he reconized who (or what) it was.

"Wha?" Shigeru gasped.

"Mewtwo?!" Satoshi called out. The genetic Pokemon nodded.

"and thank you for the introduction, Satoshi-San..." Mewtwo smiled cruely, taking out a black Pokeball. He rolled the ball in his hands as he continued.

"This Pokeball is capable of capturing human specimens. I have choosen one of you to catch a certian ....how you say....Pokemon for me." He said, still looking at the ball.

"No way!! Pikachu and I will never work for evil!!" Satoshi turned to his rival.

"Shigeru, you with us?" Shigeru shook his head to clear the cobwebs from his mind.

"Uhhh...Yeah! BUt don't expect me to help you after this, wimp!!" Shigeru pointed at Mewtwo.

"Raichu, Mega Punch!!"

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!!!" The two trainers shouted in unison. The mice ran at Mewtwo.

"Raiiiiiiiichu!!!" Raichu punched thin air as Mewtwo teleported to safety.

"What?!" Shigeru gasped.

"Masaka..." Satoshi whispered. The Pikachu launched an electric attack in the direction hat Mewtwo was. Raichu was standing on that exact spot....

"Pikachu!!!" Satoshi's Pokemon shocked Raichu out of his wits. Shigeru watched in horror as Raichu fainted. Satoshi and Pikachu doubled over in laughter.

"Now who's got the lame Pokemon?" Satoshi asked triumphantly. Shigeru growled and recalled Raichu to his Pokeball. They glanced at eachother as a Pokeball appeared out of nowhere and trapped them inside of it. Two Pokedexs fell to the ground as the Pokeball was transported inside of the book. The door flew open to reveal a scrawny looking girl with orange hair and fierce green eyes.

"There you...are?" Kasumi stared wide eyed at the empty room. She stepped into the room, trying not to walk on the books. One of the books stood out from the rest. She picked it up, and began to look at the illegable language.

"Maybe I can help you read that no da!!" A voice inside of her mind said. Kasumi let out a shriek of terror and turned around to see an Abra behind her. Kasumi was about to say something when Satoshi's Pokedex spoke up.

"Abra: A psychic Pokemon. Using it's psychic powers, it will identify impending danger and Teleport to safety." Kasumi picked up his Pokedex and hugged it, hoping that Satoshi would show up. She picked another one up, and activated it.

"I am Prometheus, a Pokedex programed by Professor Okido for Pokemon trainer Shigeru Okido from the town of Pallet. My job..."

"Ok! Ok! Shut up already!!" Kasumi shouted, annoyed.

Leave it up to Shigeru to have a Pokedex with a fancy name.

"Abra." The Pokemon spoke up, trying to get her attention.

"Oh yeah!!" Kasumi unloaded her backpack, placed the book in front of her and Abra, and lied down on her stomach.

"Is that ok?", She asked. The Abra simply nodded and began to read to Kasumi telepathically
